When you first start blogging, it seems like you are looking for the magic bullet, secret ingredient or" it" to make your blog successful. I think many people just give up before they find it. It is not going to happen over night, so you really do need to give it some time.

I have found that the most intimidating thing is to find things that you are comfortable writing about. The most successful blogs have one thing in common and that is lengthy blogs. Sometimes they seem to ramble on and I think that is all right for the readers. You will need to start getting comfortable writing as much as you can about each topic you choose to write about. Once you have a reader, they really do want to know all you have to offer.

Your blogs do need to have some substance. But everyone has some substance. There must be something that you are good at, something you know all about. For most people it is their daily experiences. So get out and have some experiences that you can then blog about.
